Solana Ecosystem Roundup: April Climbs Everywhere

2026-05-13 · solana-foundation

April was a busy month for Solana. Institutions moved deeper into bank, custody, and card-issuer infrastructure, while tokenized assets expanded into mortgages, pre-IPO names, gold, and cross-chain listings. The roundup also highlighted a coordinated security push and new agentic commerce rails, with network activity and RWA value both hitting new highs.

Key Features or Updates

The biggest signals were institutional. B2C2 named Solana its primary network for stablecoin settlement, SoFi leaned into Solana for Big Business Banking, and Shinhan Card signed an MOU to build stablecoin payments solutions. On the asset side, Stable described the first blockchain-native mortgage on Solana, while Securitize and Currenc Group moved to tokenize equity on the network.

Ecosystem Impact

This is the kind of breadth that matters: settlement, custody, tokenization, payments, and security are all maturing at once. STRIDE and SIRN add a stronger operational layer for protocols, while agentic payment work around x402 and Pay.sh points to Solana becoming more useful for machine-to-API commerce.

Next Steps for Holders/Devs

Builders should watch the new security programs, especially if they run meaningful TVL or handle sensitive flows. Teams shipping asset discovery, payments, trading, or agent workflows now have a much richer surface area to integrate against.
